قبل عدة أيام، حضرت كاثرين دوقة كامبريدج العرض العالمي الأول لفيلم جيمس بوند الجديد على السجادة الحمراء. شخصيا ذهلت من حضورها ومظهرها الرائع. الفستان هو الأغلى في مجموعة الأميرة كيت منذ أكثر من عام وهو من مجموعة دار أزياء جني بيكهام البريطاني. عند مشاهدته لم يكن بإمكاني ألا أن أقارنه بتصميم المصمم اللبناني ايلي صعب لخريف 2021

الدوقة طبيعتها كلاسيكية من كل النواحي في الملابس والأحذية والإكسسوارات ودائما تكون في إطار معين ومحدد ومسموح بروتوكولي ولا تميل الى الملابس المبهرجة. لكن في هذا الحدث ظهرت للعالم في هالة ذهبية متلألئة وبتصميم خارج عن المألوف بالنسبة لها. هل اعطي الضوء الملكي الأخضر للدوقة لتتلألأ وتخطف الأنظار عن ميغان

الفستان الخلاب كان عبارة عن فستان وفوقه عباءة بأكتاف مصممة بطريقة معماريا من التول الذهبي المطرز بشكل كامل.

القماش كان من التول الخفيف جدا، لذلك على الرغم من وجود العديد من التتر المزين بأحجار الراين، إلا أنه لن يجعل المظهر يعطي انطباع الثقل الشديد بالعكس فهو ينساب بطريقة ناعمه عند التحرك. ترتيب التتر والخرز مهمً جدًا، لذلك كان فستان الدوقة مزين بطريقه تدريجية معينه، التتر وأحجار الراين في الجزء العلوي من الفستان كان أكثر كثافة، بينما التتر على الجزء الأسفل كان متناثر. وهذا يعطي انسيابية للجسم. تصميم الخصر التتر المركز في هذه المنطقة أبرز خصر الدوقة النحيل.

العباءة تعطي شعوراً بالسيطرة، وقد تمت مقترنة مظهر الدوقة بمظهر الممثلة اليزابيث تايلور في فيلم كليوبترا.

الأميرة جسدت “الدرع الذهبي” لذا كانت كل تفصيله من المجوهرات إلى الملابس إلى الأحذية من اللون الذهبي.

من حيث الإكسسوارات، ارتدت الأميرة كيت الخاتم الياقوت الخاص بالأميرة ديانا وهو الإكسسوار الشخصي المصاحب لها دائما. بالإضافة إلى ذلك، ارتدت الأميرة خاتمًا من الألماس الأصفر قليل السعر مقارنه بالمجوهرات التي ظهرت بها ميغان مؤخرا. الأقراط التي ارتدتها الأميرة كيت هذه المرة من ماركة اونيتا ليست مرتفعة السعر نهائيا. المجوهرات بشكل عام ليست فخمة للغاية، ربما لتجنب أن تطغى على الفستان، لكنها تُظهر إحساسًا كبيرا بالنبل. هي بصمة الأناقة الملكية

هناك نقاط ضعف في المظهر، النقطة الأولى هي أن درجة اللون الذهبي تجعل البشرة غامقة. طريقه وقوف الأميرة ليست مثالية بل يشوبها انحناء في الرقبة الى للأمام، و هذا ظهر بشكل واضح من الجنب.

لون وجهها باهتًا لأن الأميرة كيت لا تحب استخدام أدوات تجميل فاقعة اللون. لكن عند اختيار الملابس الذهبية، يجب جعل المكياج يلمع قدر الإمكان لكي تكتمل الصورة. القليل من احمر الشفاه لا يضر!

لكن اختيار هذا المظهر حساس جدا لأنه يجب أن تكون حذرا ألا تظهر بشكل مبتذل.

Louis Vuitton Men’s Fall-Winter 2021 show was the whole package from the very start; beautiful narrative, amazing scenery, set design, fashionable clothes, theatrical performance, and lots and lots of leather.

عرض لوي فيتون لخريف وشتاء 2021 للرجال خورااافي بكل معنى الكلمة، كان الحزمة الكاملة منذ البداية؛ قصة جميلة، مشاهد مذهل، تصاميم رائعة، ملابس عصرية، أداء مسرحي، والكثير الكثير من الحقائب الجلدية.

To me, it was like a musical and reminded Eddie Murphy’s “Harlem Nights” and Warren Betty’s, “Dick Tracy”. I mean the huge shoulder padded overcoats, the Panama hats, and the striped suits. And to spice up the perfect combination, BOOM Gangsta’s Paradise outfits jump in to add that extra WOW effect.

بالنسبة لي ذكرني بعدة افلام قديمة، كان الأمر أشبه بعرض بمسرح موسيقي التقى به فيلم إيدي مورفي في فيلم هارلم نايتس و فيلم وارن بيتي ديك ترسي لتشابه المعاطف ذات الاكتاف الضخمة، وقبعات بنما، والبدلات المخططة. ولإضفاء الإثارة على المزيج المثالي، تقفز ملابس جانجسترز بارادايس لإضافة الوااااو.

The Set Design

The show took place at the Tennis Club de Paris which has been chosen by many designers before such as Lacoste, Thom Browne, and Celine.

Chosen for its space, it is like a huge movie set that is waiting for magic. And magic what LV delivered, turning it to a green marble heaven airport lounge for all those VIPs traveling in style and on point.

.أعتقد تم اختيار المكان يعود الى المساحه الكبيره للموقع مما يسمح بعمل الكثير من الديكورات، فهو يشبه موقع تصوير الافلام الكبيرة حيث تنتج الافلام الساحرة

والسحر هو فعلا ما قدمته دار فيتون العريقة، حيث حولت النادي إلى صالة انتظار في المطار، رخامية خضراءّ فخمه بكل تفاصيلها، تستوعب كل الشخصيات من كل الاجناس و الاعراق التي تسافر بأناقة الى الوجهات المختلفة

Due to the pandemic, the show was streamed online on different social medias ( it is the age of Online Fashion). Many viewers were disappointed because they believed that BTS (K-pop group) will be performing in the show since LV’s twitter built anticipation with their show teaser eared before the show. Unfortunately, it turned out that the group was only invited to watch the show.

The show was not only about men’s wear, but it was also about the introduction, the performers; the powerful poetic narration of Saul Williams and Mos Def acting, modelling and, singing with his sexy easy-going style both heightened the impact of the show. The show was an invitation to travel in general and to Paris hence, the jacket with Parisian landmarks.

The collection is made for different men from diverse backgrounds, cultures, and ages, if they can afford LV that is. there were many cultural references to Black history.

لم يكن العرض يتعلق فقط بملابس الرجال، بل كان عن الشعر وفن الأداء. السرد القوي للشعر الذي قام به شاول ويليامز و غناء موس ديف الذين اضفيا حس رائع للعرض. العرض كان ممتع لكل الحواس

موضوع و فكرة العرض كان الدعوة للسفر بشكل عام وإلى باريس بشكل خاص، وهو ما تم التأكيد عليه من خلال الجاكيت ذو المعالم الباريسية

The show was an emphasis on the importance of integration and coexistence, and accepting the other without issuing initial judgments.

The collection revolves around diversity, as it is made for men who are physically different, with different backgrounds, archetypes, cultures, countries, models and ages.

There were many cultural references to African history in the collection, influenced by the Ghanaian roots of the artistic director Virgil Abloh. According to Abloh, you can say the unspoken and discuss taboo topics through fashion.

I fell in love the minute I laid my eyes on these comfy looking seatings. They felt so good and cozy when I imagined sitting on them in my background garden on a breezy summer night as I sip on my ice tea and later I can stretch on them on my porch while I sit watching the rain drinking hot chocolate.

The collection is modern and minimalistic both in color and design, it can be combined and arranged in various ways and styles according to ones space and for the ever restless ones who like to continuously redecorate.

The collection is called JIAN meaning “in-between” in Chinese. Beautiful design by Neri&Hu for GANDIABLASCO.

Ombré Fashion

It all started during the Alexander McQeen’s Spring 2001 RTW when the Dip Dye/Ombré colorful trend was introduced through a magnificent dip dyed feather skirt; accessorized with a huge feathered creation with stuffed eagles suspended over the model’s head (Hitchcock drama) followed by a breathtaking red dress with dip dyed feathers.

Later in 2002, Gwen Stefani decided to get married and went to Dior for her out of the world dress, and as always John Galliano didn’t disappoint. Her funky pink dip dyed ombré wedding dress was the talk of the continent, at the very least.

Still in the couture phase, ombré again was introduced through the exquisite taste of Versace in their lookbook for Atelier Versace spring Summer 2011.

During the Couture Fall 2012, the Chinese designer Yiqing Yin showed couple of gray dip dyed splendid outfits and some were suitable for everyday wear.

Elie Saab’s model flaunted the run way during Spring 2014 Couture with dip dyed ombré flower buds that are too cute I just want to pick them and hide them in my special box.

Then in came Burberry Prorsum Resort 2015 through which Christopher Bailey portrayed his vision of London’s rain as it washes the colors off his delicate British laced coats, and what a pretty sight it is. It is a sure thing that Burberry Prorsum is the real deal of ready to wear Ombré.

And yet again, Monsieur Elie Saab flaunted his pretty dip dyed

Sharif Hamza

For a fashion photographer and director who started his career only recently, 2010 to be exact, Sharif Hamza is a huge big “SHOT”

You can instantly know that an editorial has been photographed by him; the bright vibrant background with the amazing colors shout out to you “Check me out!”. Just think of Lupita Nyong’o Dazed & Confused magazine and you would know exactly what I mean.

Hamza uses the light in a way that you can just reach out and lick Beyonce’s ice-cream or touch Lindsy Wixson’s radiant skin.

He photographed for many magazines including Dazed & Confused, W, V Man, AnOther, Interview, Love, GQ, and Vogue to name a few.He made campaigns for Dior Homme, Iceberg, Max Mara, H&M among others.

Besides Hamza is also a a filmmaker, his “In Motion” film by Armani with Liu Wen that was filmed exclusively for AnOther magazine is breathtakingly intriguing.

Jewelry Trends Fall/Winter 2014-2015 Necklaces

One sentence sums it up “BIGGER is BETTER”. Designers are still going for huge, extravagantly oversized, bright, shiny, look at me fashion jewelry on the runway.

Headbands and tiaras are not to be found, my guess is that they are more of Springy/Summery kinda of accessories.

Heading down to the neckcandy and you have a variety of chokers, necklaces, and chains, and pendants.

Balenciaga went for a choker filled with Swarovski stones paired with a matching bracelet.

Chanel is still the “Pearl Brand” through and through with as many ropes as you can wear kind of jewelry with different pearl sizes.

Tribal necklaces appeared at Vivienne Westwood and Etro. They come in different sizes but the longer the better. Made of metal, leather, beads, tassels, plastic, and wood.

Floral necklaces are still a powerful element for the upcoming fashion scene whether shiny gems like Riccardo Tisci’s amazonian crystal collar at Givenchy or huge crystal colorful blooms at Dolce & Gabbana

Gold can never grow old. It came in many shapes, sizes, and details sometimes with over-the-board number of chains or a huge padlock and numerous symbols at Chanel, Moschino, Balmain, Versace, Louis Vuitton, Celine, and finally Maiyet “Torq”
